The circuit is a classic hiking route with the only bit more difficult steep and rocky part of via Colle Armoine (2692 m). 

Tha optional ascend to the Monviso (3841 m) via normale is a long and strenuous UIAA I/II climbing. 

Getting there & Nav

The trail starts at Rifugio Albergo Alpino "Pian del Re" (open Jun-Sep) that is best reachable by taxi in 2 hours from Torino.

The nearest bus is at Crissolo 6 km away. In the summer months, a shuttle service is also available from Crissolo to Pian del Re.
